Lawn Care Part 4: Watering - by Lowes
Tools and Products:
- sprinkler(s)
- hose(s) if not using automatic system
- rain gauge - optional
- sprinkler timer - optional
Tasks:
- Determine amount of hose and sprinklers needed if not using automatic system
- Water new seed lightly but daily
- Once established water 1 inch of water once per week
- Water early in the morning
- Avoid watering late at night - it can cause diseases
- Pay attention to your lawn and water regularly
- Water more during dry spells and less when it rains
- Check weather and use rainfall as much as possible to reduce water bills
